to get a car
well, id like to setup another track day in the spring time so that would be your best bet to get dialed in. No hastle and run whenever.
id be down fo sho… unless its a shitload of money
Id like for me and you to spend a day at the dyno. Not doing anything much more than cage this year, i deff think im holding off on a bigger turbo and what not. Im pretty happy with what i have and just want to get everything out of it for now.
But i always down for track days, i cant wait for that.
Meh i kinda have to agree here as well, the one rental was fun, but $50 was a little steep, especially considering we lost a lot of time when the Evo went boom.
$60 if we have 10 or more cars. So endless runs for 60 bucks is pretty nice.
Or you can spend $15 and sit around on a normal night i dont really mind either one.
i outgrew this fggt shit.
says the guy with a cock in his avatar.
lol. I have avatars off, i can’t see it. lol
I find your sig offensive and false. I am irish and i know im totaly cool so you need to check your sources (andy) lol.
when are we killing some more camaras john?
loll soon, i have to return the game after this weekend.
Dont you have a better way of monitering detonation than listening for it?.Usually if you hear it there a good chance your going to blow it up.With the turbo buicks you can run a scanmaster or a laptop with direct scan or turbo link to watch everything. Also a knock gauge and a knock alarm are usefull.
hehe well played sir.
yep theres easier ways, however i dont completely trust electronics. plus not all vehicles come with knock or even tuned knock sensors. noise can be an issue plus alotta vehicle turn stock knock sensors off after certain rpms do to engine/valvetrain noises. In example a 4valve head revving out to 10,000rpm knock can be difficult to differ from noise. Thats why you listen for audible knock and feel for knock. Also check plugs for detonation religously. I think its somthing you have to have a feel for to be able to do it good.
I was just curious.I just blew the head gaskets on my car do to not hearing the knock alarm or the engine knocking at the track. Its tuff when running against racecars with open exhaust.
wire up the knock alarm to a light that can be seen so u don’t have to hear it?
your plugs shoulda been a tell tail sign long before you blew a headgasket. It takes detonation some time to cause any kinda serious damage unless its severe detonation in which you woulda noticed via performance and sound prior to the track. I have a knock detection device in my car and i have a wideband in my car and i cant remember the last time ive looked at them. There used as tools for tuning prior to racing for me.
It had no knock prior.I was turning up the boost little by little.Went from 0 knock to a hold lot of knock fast.Belive it or not the plugs showed no signs. After i put it back together i put them right back in it.I should get a caspers knock gauge but havnt.I really need to buy a wideband to tune it.I am only using the narrowband scanmaster and watching o2s.Now i always run racegas as it wasnt fun doing headgaskets on an engine i just built that had 1,500 miles on it.
of course for you buddy i knew i was forgeting someone
