oil temp gauge install?

i bought an oil temp gauge and i was wondering what is the easiest/best way to install it as far as where to put the sender. i know that there is that oil filter spacer you can use, but the only one i can find is 150 $, and i dont really feel like spending that much…

This will work for oil temp, its very cheap too. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=11128-RN010

For oil pressure you would have to go with a oil filter sandwich like SPLParts sells.

wouldnt having your oil temp sensor in the oil pan be inaccurate? because there is so much movement of oil and the hotter oil is on top?

where would SPL Parts be located?

So where ele would you tap into for oil temp??? The block…The oil pan is where pretty much everyone takes oil temp reading from. The sanwich is avalable at splparts.com .
