That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard in my life…
No one who is into performace buys '96 300zx TwinTurbos. They had 20 less HP than the previous years, and no Variable Timming (Like the Honda VTEC.)
'94 and '95 model years are worth the most $$.
why? it’s true
how the hell could you not out shift an automatic nissan tranny? can you drive stick?
because it takes automatics about .2 seocnds to shift while humans can usually do it in .4. (numbers could be way off but it’s ismilar to this.) and also that twin turbo is keeping it’s boost when it’s shifted with an automatic not when shifted with a manual. i’m with sc steve on this one.
.2 seconds on a stock tranny?
Lets not turn this into an Auto vs. Manual argument.
I’ve owned both, and I prefer my manual Z over my shift-kitted and HKS electronically optimized automatic Z.
The fact is Auto Zs are faster than manual Zs, (in a straight line, but who buys a Z to go straight?) but NOT due to the speed a person can shift. There are many differences between the 2 cars: the Auto has larger turbos and different manifolds to start with. This is to compensate for the larger drivetrain loss of the Auto.
man it’s a good thing you can read inside the parentheses…
heck… even better lol
you already have the larger turbos, just up the shift pressure/shift points and match it to a torque convertor and your all set
I do agree that a manual is more fun though
