Options for a large detached garage?

I bought my house (North Collins) last year, and it has a 2 car carport with a workshop. Basically a 3-car garage without doors. I had several professionals look at it, and they all said the same thing: The only thing that was -possibly- worth saving was the roof structure. No foundation, walls made of random leftover materials, crooked as all hell. It has one concrete pad, the other side stone, and the workshop once has a wooden floor which turned into a rotted mess that I tore out last year. I figured I may be able to get 5 years out of it, so I painted it white to make it less of an eyesore. The right wall is sitting on random wood and concrete blocks and I had to take the sledge to it to move it back in place this summer. The whole thing sags. It’s bad.

Here’s the bad part- with the last few rains, it’s turned into a fucking lake. The workshop had a good 3" of water. The carport flooded within 4 hours, the day before it snowed. Now the roof is leaking right on top of my convertible. The gutters are useless because the wood they attach to is rotted to nothing. Time for a proper garage. Go big or go home is what I’m thinking. 4 cars, 4 car garage. I’m thinking very basic. I’m limited to depth because of the small barn behind it, and I don’t need storage space. My “dream garage” would be 4 cars wide, left bay would be separate from the rest, so I could insulate it for working in the winter. I could park my Jeep in there to avoid clearing snow off it all winter. The other 3 could be open, no insulation, roll doors, concrete floor, just a place to park cars out of the weather.

So my question is: what are my options? I know this is going to be an expensive investment, but I’d obviously want to get the best price possible. My dad just had a house and garage built so I know how much this can run. Plus I’d have to get the area leveled first. Reputable builders? Any experience with Amish builders (they’re not far- my dad’s neighbor had huge barn built by them for 17K a few years ago). Any insight would be appreciated!

Only OLD pic I could find of the thing. I’d basically need a garage built in the same spot, with more on the right side.

Tear it down, lay a pad, metal garage.

^Agreed. I think you pretty much answered your own questions with the backstory. Doesn’t seem worth salvaging.

YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Sak you know I’m down to help you destroy that carport, you just let me know

Sounds like it would never be right. Start over new. Get the new structure up and do as much of the work as you can handle/have skills to do in order to save some loot.

You will waste more money and time trying to keep any of it. Time for new stuff.

Yeah. Metal building for sure.

Call Parco, or if you’re baller, Morton.

Building a 4 car detached, 4 wide normal depth, is simple. If you want to build one, the right way, cheap, we’ll do it in spring. Pm me

I should have been more clear- I don’t have any intentions of salvaging this thing. I’m just looking for the best option to replace it.

I’m skeptical of putting up an all-metal building that looks too industrial, since it is close to the house/visible from the road. I’m trying to improve the look of the house/yard. If I had a place set back to put one up, I’d be all for it.

Damn due, that’s what I wanna hear!

Amish, my dad had them build a sweet garage.

tear it down , selling the hatch?

Sorry, sold it to Carnut a while ago.
