Fuck my life. I went to may inlaws for football instead of coming over… I am going to go end myself now.
For a first time everything turned out great. I am obsessed with how well the chicken came out though. When i ripped a piece off to eat juices were just dripping off of it. The pork shoulder is about done.
Ugh the pork is literally falling apart to the touch and so juicy. I ate a few chunks but we are letting it rest then carving it some. We are too full its a shame nobody wanted any.
im coming over for lunch tomorrow
:word:
sterling meat meet at lunchtime? AKA when Drew wakes up in the morning?
I will be up by 11 probably lol but I have to be somewhere at 5.
:bigclap: Glad to see you finished after I pulled out. The meat I mean. :bowrofl:
No vent stack? Just let it leak through the door? Looks like it worked fantastically.
What about burning some hardwood/firewood instead of going through 1209345098 bags of charcoal? Think that would work? Next time you want to fire it up I’ll actually get out of my house and bring a bunch of chunks. I’ve got like a cord of 3 year seasoned ash in my garage.
Nice, hardwood makes it much easier and cheaper. The meat looks great.
This is killing me. I’m so hungry right now.
i know eff… im stuck here till 1 i think.
Dan Baronowski,
On every forum ever.
^lol.
congrats on the birth of your new smoker.
the entire house smells like smoker.
I have a massive headache from doing nothing yesterday except drinking beer and tending to this thing. that and i was running on 3 hours of sleep from partying with drews sister in rochester on sat.
The only meat left is the pork shoulder.
We kind of pussy-footed around with it early on, and really should have been using a lot more coal. I figure we really should use ~8-10 18lb bags.
Fry there is an exhaust on the back, but we didnt need to use it. I’d like to seal off the opening a bit to reduce the amount it leaks out of there.
By the way, this thing was started with an acetylene torch. talk about manly.
And next time we’d love to use hardwood instead of charcoal.
Give me more than an 11pm the night before warning, and I’ll show up with an xterra full of seasoned hardwood and some sort of delicious dead animal.
Got Friday off? Sunday?
Do your neighbors enjoy this???
I have off friday. We could totally be down for another smoke-a-thon.
and I doubt the neighbors enjoyed us making the neighborhood smell while blasting NIN in the garage and generally being loud while drinking in the driveway all day.
