i’m surprised. the top speed for the SHO was 148 or some shit, you would think a slitely aerodynamic car would be able to get a few more MPH on top. oh well

V8 = 139
but 157 is a long way from 144. Your Toreass makes the same HP as the Z (220), but the SHO weighed 2700lbs whereas the Z weighs 3400+.
I dont doubt that his speedo said 157, stock speedos are known to be very inaccurate, especially in 15 year old cars. I doubt a NA Z would bust much more than 140.

ok im going to end this right now. First im not saying from a dead fuckin stand still i can hit 157 in a mile. The cars not that fast. It took a bit of time to get to a 157 like rounding turns on the highway at a 135mph to get to the straightaway which i could top the car out. Second when i mean topped out i mean tach bouncing off the redline. Third yes factory speedos are in not always right there close but i dont give a fuck it said 157 and im sticking to it!! if you want to make a point of this futher buy a radar gun!

Give me your tire size, your top gear ratio, your final drive ratio, and your redline RPM and we can figure out how fast you were really going. I’m with darkstar though, I don’t see any n/a 300zx going 157 MPH. (Some people are going to request a picture of your speedo w/ a penny for proof)
