I think its pretty awesome for a track car, but my favorite Zonda is by far the “Zonda F Roadster”
Anyone know if they’re still using the AMG bi-turbo v12 in the R? Seems to have some extra work done to it, I’ve never heard one with that kind of throttle response.
I can’t wait to see Top Gear get ahold of this one

The pagani’s modified AMG V12 makes one of the best and unique sounds I’ve ever heard from a supercar:cool:
I never considered the Pagani Zonda (any and all versions) appealing… The fact that the driver/passenger sit so far forward just throws things off for me… Sure it may handle like a beast, but still… I’d rather sit in the middle of the car… Mid-engine or not…
I’d take the underpowered R390 GT1 over this…
I HATE ferarri’s. But the FXX does it for me.
And any zonda…i don;t know why. I hate super cars of that style and fashion. Yet the zonda is just incredible.
I’m in the same boat as 87s15lt1, “super-cars” really aren’t my style or thing… But I’d still take a CGT if you gave one to me… Not the fastest super car out there, but IMO, definitely the most beautiful

I don’t know why but recently I just really want to own this car someday…this really appeals to me! It’s dam fast, lightweight, that design alone is so bad ass and wild + it’s British made! One of my favourite sports\super car

Hopefully it comes/does better in ALMS than the Murcielago R-GT and the Maserati MC12. Most likely it will not race over sea’s and stick to the FIA schedule.
Zonda no longer runs the official AMG engine I believe. The old engine was from AMG the new on is a re-engineered engine and no longer declared an AMG powerplant. I believe that is whats going on.
Hmm, just recently checked. They’re still running the tried, tested, and true AMG V12 powerplant, it’s done wonders so I can’t see why they’d ditch it. Some background on the V12 AMG engine, it was originally used the Mercedes CLK GTR.
Although the later versions coming out, sometime in 2010 will stick with the Mercedes motors, AMG style like from Mclaren SLR 722 or maybe the Mercedes bi-turbo V12 :o

^ This is true. Somewhere I heard they moved away from AMG simply to make it there own automobile. I just checked around and it seems to be an AMG engine still.
The Sagaris is probably the manliest and most awesome car ever made.
