Panel from Refinshing

So after getting my 70 in shop, then some worksheets, I was allowed to paint a custom panel. Please remember this is my first time doing anycustom painting, paintstripping, airbrushing and buffing. At a small cost of $5, I was allowed to keep it. I’m happy with how it came out for a first time.

Fancy work

Not too bad for a first attempt.

what did you lay it out with? by hand or with a vinyl decal, or printed sheet?

Looks good other than either the razor marks and or tape marks; Almost looks like u used a bunch of different pieces of tape instead of one in areas, or didn’t lay them perfectly over each other when you seemed 2 together.

One recommendation for curves is just use the real thin (1/8" wide) either green or blue pinstriping tape, it bends to high-heveans and leaves a great paint line. My brother uses that stuff for all the custom work he does including flame jobs where everything is curved.

For the nyspeed logo I used 1/4" fineline tape for it all. The bottom was 3/4" masking tape overlayed on each other then layed out the necessary lines and cut.

Not bad at all. The rest comes in time; I’ve done some work and it took me FOREVER to lay stuff out before paint; my brother who’s been doing it for nearly 25 years does it like nothing.

Yeah. I was quite pleased with the results of pinstripping! I probably could of done better if I had more time to do it. But for the first time it deff looks decent. And I wouldn’t mind doing some more practice work just to get the hang of it.
