i will just spill it. nope. didn’t do it. still got a ways to go. ohh so close though.

got up at 4:30am to drive 3 hours and hit up a track. that wasn’t so bad. the track was cold and they spent a lot of time warming it up so things got started late.

the first run i just lit up the tires and let off then hit it again. ran something like a 11.6@126 at low boost. i ran the tires cold with no burn out.

2nd run was a little better pulled a 1.8 60’ smoking all 4 , kyle has a clip of this run i am trying to get from him. ran a 11.0@129. boost was around 15psi. i warmed the tires a little and my buddys knocked the rocks off the front tires right before i raced.

3rd run i got the tires nice and hot and got the front tires cleaned off. it got off the line prety good but was violent. i messed up my boost controler settings so it went to high boost right off the line instead of waiting till 2nd gear. i hit it with about 18psi right off the line. the truck overreved a little in 1st gear and hit the limiter. i ended up running a 10.18@135. i was prety happy with this run till someone noticed it pushed a little coolant out of the reserve

4th run i got the tires nice and hot again. cleaned the fronts. took 2deg off the timing(from 19 to 17deg) and bumped the boost up a little. i also remember to turn on the speed based boost controler. it left hard and a lot smoother than the last run. got a 10.11@136. once again it pushed a little coolant . this run it showed some KR, the other runs were prety clean. also on this run i could see the fuel presure moving around a little. got my best 60’ ever. 1.53. this was at 13psi in 1st gear and 20psi after the shift and a 150shot up till it hit 7psi.

there was a strong head wind and it was very cold. on the 3rd run at 18psi and 19deg of timing i was kind of suprized it was pushing coolant with no knock but with the temps being in the 40’s i guess it was making some prety decent power.

there are a couple more track days before the season is over. i am going to try for 9’s at least one more time. going to pull the pasenger seat, exhaust, wipers, washer fluid, change, floor mats… everything i can think of. might do a traction device of some kind too. i dont think i can turn the power up any higher. maybe with better gas and a better fuel system?

i am starting to think i might not have to hit 9’s. it is really dificult and i am near the limit of many parts right now.

that truck is sick but just doesnt have enough power to go 9’s as of that video. the suspension aint there with the power he got now

edit: i see with that information he probly could sneak a high 9 as he hit 10.1xs already but it have to be a sick launch. the trap is high enough.

as of current hes stock suspension!!! powers there its the planting

thats what i figured… he’s maximized what he has now. he needs more work to get more et out of that power he’s got, or just needs more power with the stock suspension

i am running strait 114octane.

here is the plan. going to hit this from 4 directions. more traction, more power, less weight and less drag.

got the caltracs on the way.

going to make a little fuel surge tank to help keep the fuel presure up, i am hopeing that is my kr issue. if it doesn’t knock but does push a little water i wouldn’t be afraid to turn it up a little more. also going with a colder plug.

going to pull the pasenger seat and exhaust along with any other little things i see. 100+lbs

going to pull the antenna, wipers, fold in the mirrors. going to have a piece of cardboard that fits the front of the truck ready to tape on that covers the grill and head lights. also going to seal up the holes in the airdam.

I may have to dissagree on the trap… a boost/nitrous car should have plenty of top end. 136mph is BARELY 9 second territory. Like parish said, he’s got no more room on the current setup.

ive seen 130 in hte 9s, he was hitting 128/130 when he went 10.08. if youcompare that MPH to a import its low if you go by most domestics its good

i believe nitrous junkie does that when he was high 9s

136 will go high 9s easy. 87 TA went 9.85 at 137

in the vid he looked to be hittin 133 which isnt gonna get it done. he just maximized the launchin ability on stock suspension.

and with his new plan of light weight, more power and better suspension, he’ll definately get into the 9’s. he doesnt need to fix 4 problems just one of 2…either suspension to drop the 60 foot down more, or just more overall power.

i cant wait to see what he’ll do with those new mods

I dont think 9’s are that easy with that trap… and i said 136 is barely 9’s, meaning 9.90’s are there, u just have to find them.

I go 10.20’s all day long in my nova and trap usually 130-134mph. i can’t remember my 60’s. Granted, i never made a clean pass with my new slicks so maybe I did have 9’s with the old 1.4 60’s.

his car is setup nice tho. 1.2-1.3 short times and 9.6x from that last thread he made. didnt see the trap tho

parish could do a 9 just the truck cant leave any harder on that stuff he’s got now. same motor in a proper setup car of same weight and gearing will run quicker et’s

here is a couple times with my mph went 9.27 at 142.54 and 9.44 at 140.97 and 10.057 at 129.92 if any of this helps
