Anyone familiar with it?
Just bought a used 2003 Subaru Forester for winter, and may keep it longer, who knows. It has a CD player and 6-CD changer in it right now from the factory, but there is no iPod/iPhone/etc… connectivity, Bluetooth, Nav, etc… All stuff I’m used to.
So I’ve done a little bit of research and found this thing called the Parrot Asteroid Smart.
Essentially, it’s a double-DIN headunit that has navigation, Bluetooth, iEverything compatibility, and runs an older Android OS that some people recommend rooting if possible. It looks pretty cool, and I’d like to have all of these features. The price isn’t bad at all. On Crutchfield, they’re $549, but on Amazon they’re $100 less. It doesn’t play CDs, but I don’t use them anymore so I couldn’t care less.
My main concern is if anyone has one on here. I’d like to see it in person and mess around with it before committing to the purchase.
Thoughts?
