yes it will work fine, its the same exact axle even if this cherokee has the c8.25 it will still fit
as long as the gearing is the same, if the wrangler and the cherokee are both auto then the axles will have 3.55 gears and if the wrangler is 4cyl 5sp it will have 4.10 gears
