PARTING OUT 94 RX7 Single Turbo Blown Motor

say it aint so…

take your time rebuilding it. it will be worth it.

if you have another car to drive, i wouldnt part it out at all…keep it together until you can afford to rebuild what you love or can sell it whole for at least a portion back of what you’ve put into it…parting it so much time and effort, and in the end you’ll still have more parts you can’t sell…

but, everybody has their reasons for the decisions they make…good luck in whatever you end up doing man, sorry to see this happen to a good guy that didn’t cut any corners :frowning:

NO!!!1

jay. if u have a 2nd car sit on this. with the mileage/condition it would be more beneficial to sell it at a later time for more money with a rebuilt engine if you so choose to do.

keep it AT LEAST the rest of the summer and think about it. dont do it UNLESS YOU TRULY NEED TO. its too nice of a machine.

This shouldnt turn into a reasons to sell or not sell the car thread.

It is in the parts trader so I would gather he has made up his mind.

In talking with him it is the best move for his place in life at this time.

There is no reason to go into more debt to make the car easier to sell.

Cut the losses on it and move on until a better point in life allows you to afford a similar type of automobile.

Well this is a different story then what we talked about like a day ago…

Stock hood?

i do have a stock hood if you need one actually

kevin my bad, i didn’t know you meant air filter… you have first dibs, i’m talking with someone about buying the whole car as it sits tho so i can’t sell it to you just yet

and yea, please don’t turn this into a thread trying to get me to keep the car, trust me i’ve run every possible number figuring out the costs of parting, fixing, fixing and selling, etc. its really a no brainer, theres no sense in going into even more debt than i am already in, just to have a car. and if some of you haven’t realised that, you will eventually

It amazes me how willing some ppl here are to go into massive debt over a freaking car…

No idea how much the hood is worth, but I’m about 95% sure I’ll take it. I don’t think I’ll be able to get the wrinkle out of mine. Let me know what you want for it.

You’re taking a very responsible approach to all this Jay. Best of luck with the part out. Debt is awful, I wouldn’t want the burden of any more either, in a case like this.

I Can get you an UBER Clean S14…like under 60k miles and no RUST at all… w/ sr20 ready to swap for less than 10g

:word:

it will be a shame, but time to move on…

Hows it go…Don’t race it if you can’t afford to push it off a cliff…

That applies to actually racing, which only a handful of people here do.

Seems to apply in this case…

Street race/Drag race plan on breaking everything at least once  if you can’t afford that then you need cheaper toys…

yea, justin is right, its the same difference. in this case its blowing a motor instead of crashing it.

The spirit of the saying holds true. You don’t put something at risk when it comes to a car (modding, racing, etc…) that you can’t afford to write off.

 to getting out of modded car debt.

waiiiiiitttt…im coming over now…

i’ve gotten a ton of interest on this stuff already from the rx7 board, this shouldn’t be hard at all  also a guy in arizona thinking about buying the whole car as it sits for 16k

Would the whole car include the Garrett hat?
