exactly. odds are the air marshal was using a 9mm. in which case pretty much the only way you will take someone down with 1 shot instantly is a well placed shot to the heart. so of course whey will put a few rounds in them to stop them quickly before they can hit a bomb button, pull a gun, etc.

Very true, the 9mm is not a “man stopper” it is used to wound and apprehend, and also is widly used because it will not exit a body with enough force to go threw 2 more like a .40 S&W or .45 acp. I dont know how many of you guys read bollistics, but the 9mm has nothing for power, the .45 on the other hand is quite impressive. personally i would carry a .45, its like throwing a brick, unfortunatly it will also go straight threw the person and you can not chance hitting innocent people and killing them like that. About how he handled the situation, I give the Air Martial a big :tup:. had the man actually had a bomb, like he proclaimed he could very well have killed many innocent people. Ive been hearing on the radio about people bitching that he did not try to talk to the man and reason with him…fuck that. The guy screams he has a bomb at an air port he is saying " please kill me".

The marshals were right with what they did, the guy was running down teh jetway yelling.

If I wasn’t in the bathroom on the plane being sick, I would’ve shot his ass myself.

WOW you are way off base here with your ballistic comparison. First off every law enforcement agency in the US carries hollow point ammo, so bullets will expand transferring the greatest amount of kinetic energy and not just pass through the body. All these rounds in FMJ (full metal jacket) have the capability of passing through soft tissue of 1 person. Passing through 2 more people is iffy even for a .45 cal.

that family has no case agienst the feds… mental problem or not it was the wifes liability to keep him out of trouble n not let it get that far.

that air marshal will have no problem showing that there was a threat posed on him, his partners, and the civilians around him. maybe it was a shitty situation, but it shows terriorists that we arent fucking around anymore, next person to try n hy-jack a plain will come off with a few holes in their heads

fuck 'em… he brought it upon himself. And I’m not buying the whole mental illness thing either. They said he’s bi-polar… I dont see how that would make you “not aware” of what you were doing. Maybe get angry faster… but thats about it AFAIC.
