Anybody else a bowler on here and catch the show today?
i was pretty stoaked a long time ago when i heard it was finally coming back after a 15 year vacation from our town…
and as :gay: as it sounds calling myself an avid bowling enthusiast…i’m proud to say that i got to meet a lot of the guys i try to base my game on (yes i bowl…and yes, i live in cheektowaga…) last night at the Pro Am tourny at thruway lanes…hell i even got a shit load of autographs on a pin, such as Parker Bohn III, Norm Duke, Chris Barnes, Mike Edwards, Tom Baker, Walter Ray Williams Jr., Jay Couch…etc.
it’s about damn time the tour made another stop here, in the only city i’ve ever known of where the bowling alleys are on every other corner…
Yeah…I saw this on ESPN one nite at some other lane…they had upcoming events and Cheektowaga was there. For some reason I find bowling entertaining to watch, maybe I just wanna see a 300 or something or find humor in how excited these guys get.
It’s funny to me how those guys you listed are probably completely normal people, and VERY rarely get recognized in public. I tend to step away from “celebrity” and keep things real.
Not for nothing, but you don’t HAVE to reply at all. :gotme:
they were sold out a while ago, i wanted to get tickets but realized i was better off watching at home…
i really regret though not getting tickets for like the first day of the week, when all 100 or so pros were there competing…rather than just the final 4…i woulda liked to see more of 'em bowl in person…
it was awsome to go watch the pros. my friend was in there is name is ryan ciminelli he cam in 9th and hes only 19. i wanted to get in that tournament but i dont have $800 im gettin in the obanour masters tournament at airport lanes comin up in may.
buffalo actually has one of the highest alleys/square mile in the U.S. i think chicago is first.
tommy jones throws one of the sickest balls i ever seen
I wish I knew they were here - i would have gone . . . Norm Duke, Walter Ray, and Parker Bohn are the best of our time. Didn’t know they were here. they plan on coming back, or do i have to wait 15 years?
