So I have some stuff from Carl. cads plans, saved in pdf format. need to put them into a word document (and be able to format them to the text and whatnot).
opened them, can’t save as a jpeg from pdf format. if I open it in illustrator, it won’t let me save it as a jpeg. only .ai, .pdf, .eps, .ait, .svg, and .svgz.
if I open it in photoshop, I can save it as a jpeg, but then some of the lines are super light, like you can barely see them
so do you want to save them as jpg or word document? or save as jpg and insert into word doc? if you put as jpg in word doc you cant edit the text. you might need OCR software for that. i have acrobat 5.0, not reader but regular acrobat. it allows pdf editing. you can copy/paste change whatever you want on most pdf’s. if you want to send me the pdfs i could copy and paste them into word file so you can edit however you want. its not guaranteed to work but its worth a shot. unless you can get acrobat. pm me about it because i will forget to check this thread.
I want to convert to jpegs so I can put them in a word document.
I do not need to edit the text in the image; i was referring to formatting the text of the word document (i.e. when you format a jpeg in word you can have the text of the document wrap around the image; my goal)
it really depends on what platform you’re runnung, but for each (XP,OSX,Linux) there are solutions. Google will get you there.
…I dont know if I am interpreting what you want correctly. Do you want to
a.)Strip just the pictures out of a .pdf file and save them as individual jpegs?
OR
b.)Convert the entire pdf file into a single jpeg copy?
Google can lead you to solutions for both, but if you run into trouble it might help to know.
