My margin buying power is based on a percentage of my portfolio’s net worth. Apparently when I had a quick drop I came up $2 short on completing my order.
Fuck man, that sucks. What kind of leverage is usually offered in this market? 1:1 ?
For most of the stock market you only need to maintain 30%. Stuff that they deem more risky, like all of the financials lately, is higher, anywhere up to no leverage offered for penny stocks. SKF IIRC was right around 1:1.
Word. I looked at the daily chart of SKF a minute ago. I’d still consider getting in short… from a technical analysis it’s going to drop into the 140s before finding support. I’m always bored at the end of the day, so I’ll do a little drawing in a minute.
lets see if we get the daily 350 decline in the market that shoots SKF up. Could be an entry point.

edit: Playing a bounce off a 360 EMA is a GREAT way to get in. Teamed with price action and fib/SR confluence, it’d be as close to a sure bet going long around 120
Of course something in the news or some other fundamental thing could skew everything.

DIG,AKS,LCC,UYG,and URE I have been smahing through the turns on the funds. I have consistantly been jumping directions a few % early like I said and taking about 1K loss before I see 3-4k gains. I am up almost 10k in the last 30 days FGGTS!
when the time is right I will buy up SKF, DUG, and QID for shorts.
