OK, I know someone on here might know what’s going on with this, and have a suggestion. I did a Google search on my own company to see if my website was coming up. Do this from time to time when I remember. Anyway, I started to see a growing list of websites that hosted basic contact information about my company, which I guess isn’t a bad thing. A couple pages in I notice a link to a youtube video. I thought, “that’s odd, I never posted anything on youtube.” Anyway, here’s the link.
These are photo’s from my website and the information in the description is mostly correct but I did not post this video. I’m not necessarily opposed to the content as it is not derogatory but it’s a little unnerving knowing this has happened. Any way I can find out who did it and how to remove it, and I guess preventing it from happening again?
No offense to my employee but he’s about as far away from using a computer as you can get. It wasn’t a bad video, or anything against my company, I just don’t like finding shit like this that’s obviously out of my control. Could be the advertising fairy or Santa? Tis’ the season.
I had one of these put together by a random web marketing company without my knowledge, who then emailed me with the link, basically saying “look what we can do for you”.
I didn’t take them up on it, and had them remove the video and my logos. Honestly, it was a bit creepy.
I really do very little advertising and don’t recall being approached by anyone for something like this. Also not a member of any local organizations or such so that is out too.
Did you send that name who posted the video a comment? They posted your business, I’m assuming that would be the fastest way to get a reply seeing as Youtube sends an email to let you know someone commented on your video or to you.
I bet that it is a local marketing company that threw it together and are going to come show it to you with number of hits etc… to try and get you to sign on the line.
