So my project for school consists of me picking a famous artist of any type. I’m looking to do a photographer.
The project
-3 pieces of the artist work in color copies 8x10 i believe
-brief summary of the artist and why I like his work
-design my own piece of work that would include the style of work the artist uses
so the question. who is a famous photographer I could possibly find at the library in a book. If that is to hard, then what is a famous photographer that would be easy to make my own photo for.
My brother told me about Ansel Adams, but most of his work is more country and stuff i wont find around here.
well if YOU tell two people about Micah, then THEY each tell two people, then those people each tell two people… Eventually Micah will be bigger than sliced bread!
dooooooooooo it
Try John Heartfield. He did Photomontages before the digital age, and quite well at that. He was part of the Dadaist movement which had much more of an affect on current arts than most people realize. He was very anti-Nazi and anti-Hitler and used Sattire to do it. Probably one of the first forms of political sattire in existence.
Another awesome photomontage artist, Jerry Uelsmann. He does his work in photoshop but he has some awesome creations.
It would require a decent amount of skill to make your own work like theirs, but thats why I like them so much.
Dianne Arbus - making ugly beautiful
Elliot Erwitt - sattire in photography (I love his Dog related work)
You can replicate a shot like Ansel Adams in numerous local places. As far as nature shots go, there is 2 wildlife reserves in Clarence. Also you can get an awesome country road shot that seems to go forever just about anywhere in Akron/Newstead.
good looks. i figured that. ill need to look into it one day at home, this job sucks for trying to research shit when your next to a teamlead, when you get bitched at for browsing when you should be focused on the call. ahahahahaha
