How the HELL do I unlock a freakin’ layer?

There should be an icon of a lock next to the layer that is locked. I don’t have it on this comp to take a screenshot. Try double clicking the lock or right click on the layer in the layer window.

I did that, it doesn’t do shit, all it asks is the new layer properties

Hmm… there should be something… sorry I couldn’t help ya.

If you don’t get your answer tongiht I can check at work tomorrow…

If it’s a background layer you can double click on the layer and rename the layer to whatever you want and that should unlock it…

You know what, I think you’re right

fuck

They should all come in unlocked, except for the background which you have to rename in order to unlock it.

double click the “background” layer and rename it layer 1 or 0 instead of “background” and it should unlock it

They are correct, unless this is a layer that someone locked purposely, and in that case you would select the layer and then unselect the little “lock” button on the toolbar above the layers.
