Photoshop help, Bike Advice.... Lazy Thurs @ work.

So I have been debating this for most of the winter but I am hesitant to pull the trigger. Right now I am at work so why don’t some of you help the day go by quicker and help me out.

Here is a picture of my bike. I have seen similar bikes before with the graphics removed. I am usually a fan of clean, unique styling and I feel this bike lacks that tremendously.

To be perfectly honest I don’t plan on keeping this bike much longer (maybe the rest of this season then sell)… but I was wondering if it’s worth it to clean up the body a bit. Oh BTW, I HATE yellow, but got a siqq deal on this so I couldn’t pass it up.

-Should I remove some of the graphics and go with a simple yellow/black look?

-Paint the tail plastics black?

-Tombolin… I liked your idea with the chopped “gp” exhaust… whatya think guys??

- Will this hurt resale wicked when I sell in a year or less?

Pchopppin and advice to clean up this bishhh.

(I bought the bike as is…and so far the only thing diff from this old pic is a puig)

Thanks fellla’s:tup:

Leave it alone… stock and clean/unmolested is always more appealing for resale.

Chopping the can down a little bit might make it a little easier on the eyes though.
If its never been down, ie. no damage, then dont do any paint work

That’s my main concern. With no intentions of holding onto the bike long term, extensive visual customization will absolutely hurt resale.

However, little things may help… and yeah that exhaust is HUGE.

I plan on upgrading to a 600rr, or 636 soon.(leaning towards KAWI)

Its a nice looking bike as it sits. I remember riding with you near the end of last season. I would leave it as is especially since it was never down

Yeah, it’s pretty damn mint. My brother pulled a Paulo in a parking lot though and put a few minor scratches in the tail and crankcase cover:(…nothing major though.

Are you sure I rode with you? What’s your name?

One thing that bugs me is the “ebay” gold levers that came with the bike. God dammit they are awful. Maybe some black pazzo’s and a can chop and i’ll leave the rest alone this season…

I say just pick up a fairing kit off ebay:

Not a bad idea, I was on a site a while back with complete aftermarket fairings. Not exactly what I want to be dropping 400+ on ATM though.

I can’t seem to remember the site for the life of me though.

Can someone p-chop the tail black for me…

just get rid of the awful levers and awful pegs. lol. sell it for $3500 and buy a 636… you wont regret it.

PM me what you paid for it btw. j/w

year. mileage. mods. etc etc.

I can post it if you want, it’s not a big deal. Sending PM now.

dont want to hurt your resale if you got a steal on it.

^ ewwww.

Thanks though:tup: could you leave the graphics on and ps the tail black?..if you gots some time:)

edit: and chop the can as much as you can… I am at work and don’t have PS capabiliteZZ:tup:

custom paint jobs almost never look good on sport bikes. just powder coat metal parts black and get a shorter exhaust. you’ll be golden.

I’ve been thinking about that. I would love to have a black frame on this…ugh.

Black levers, and maybe some rearsets, or just powdercoat the stock ones black, and a few other things.

dude honestly it’s a good looking bike and if you’re only keeping it for about 6 more months I would just leave well enough alone. Save the money and put it into the 636 you’ll get. Maybe get black levers and pegs then call it a day. You’re not going to offset your out of pocket costs with resale by doing all that right now.

Well said, and I do agree. If I decide to keep it for another season I may do a few more things to keep my interest.

Edit: Thanks for the compliments on the bike guys…

DBL EDIT: I missed your post willy… YES, the levers and pegs make me want to punch babies!

Could someone link me to a decent set of reasonably priced levers.

or just buy a set of shorty levers for 200…
