So I have been debating this for most of the winter but I am hesitant to pull the trigger. Right now I am at work so why don’t some of you help the day go by quicker and help me out.
Here is a picture of my bike. I have seen similar bikes before with the graphics removed. I am usually a fan of clean, unique styling and I feel this bike lacks that tremendously.
To be perfectly honest I don’t plan on keeping this bike much longer (maybe the rest of this season then sell)… but I was wondering if it’s worth it to clean up the body a bit. Oh BTW, I HATE yellow, but got a siqq deal on this so I couldn’t pass it up.
-Should I remove some of the graphics and go with a simple yellow/black look?
-Paint the tail plastics black?
-Tombolin… I liked your idea with the chopped “gp” exhaust… whatya think guys??
- Will this hurt resale wicked when I sell in a year or less?
Pchopppin and advice to clean up this bishhh.
(I bought the bike as is…and so far the only thing diff from this old pic is a puig)
Leave it alone… stock and clean/unmolested is always more appealing for resale.
Chopping the can down a little bit might make it a little easier on the eyes though.
If its never been down, ie. no damage, then dont do any paint work
Yeah, it’s pretty damn mint. My brother pulled a Paulo in a parking lot though and put a few minor scratches in the tail and crankcase cover:(…nothing major though.
One thing that bugs me is the “ebay” gold levers that came with the bike. God dammit they are awful. Maybe some black pazzo’s and a can chop and i’ll leave the rest alone this season…
dude honestly it’s a good looking bike and if you’re only keeping it for about 6 more months I would just leave well enough alone. Save the money and put it into the 636 you’ll get. Maybe get black levers and pegs then call it a day. You’re not going to offset your out of pocket costs with resale by doing all that right now.
