ok, so the company i work for the “marketing manager” is about as creative as a stick in the eye, i have a contest i am running for our sales force that starts tommorow (the promototion for it starts tommorow at a sales table top we are having) so i asked the marketing manager to throw together a flyer for the contest i decided to run… and this is what he came up with

so after seeing this today at 5:25 i decided there is NO way im going to let that pass…

so i finally got some free time tonight to try to bang this out, and after about 25 minutes i came up with this

the only thing i dont like about it is that the border around the picture is kind of hard, and i wanted to break it up a little bit so it blends into the flyer…

i wantd to do something like the comic book tone look (where as teh picture gets to teh edge it turns into black and white dots and slowly fades into the backround…)

anybody know how?

I like the star thing at the top… too many fonts below that, looks like poo there. why not have the photo fill the entire bottom and carry they grey up to the edge of the star (hard to describe). If I didn’t have hours of paying work to finish tonight I’d help you out, if it wasn’t tomorrow … sorry.

edit: the 1st one is the best one, because of its shear crappyness. Its obvious he didnt try, whereas yours reeks of effort, and still fails.
