Other than maybe doing some of that vinyl on the floor and disabling the daytime running lights, I think i’m almost done screwing with it.
eh?
would Mannie Fresh be proud?
Always a fan of high B/W contrast.
does it real good… d.dd.d.does it real good
love the scoops, HATE the mirrors.
how did the mirrors attach?
i wasn’t sure if i liked them at first, so i put on the scoops and one mirror and kept going back and forth and decided i liked the mirrors.
I’m an engineer. I like patterns.
lip fender mirror door scoop fender wing bumper diffuser
vs
lip fender door scoop fender wing bumper diffuser
They’re just covers :ricer:
They kinda clip on… (i used a lil 2 sided tape, too).
Before I didn’t think I liked the addition of the wing but now it’s balanced out with the diffuser, scoops, and mirrors. Nice work
After looking at all the pics, I feel like if the scoops, mirror and wing were that color from the factory, you would paint them all white. :gotme:
X…
I think it all goes well together
I probably wouldn’t, but other people would. I like contrasting colors… I’m not a big fan when cars are monochromatic…
That’s why i hate murdered out shit.
So was there a reason you picked this car? Like are you going to go around a track with it, or just cruise around?
I’ll probably take it to a track once or twice at least… I had fun driving my STi at dunville, and that was precarious at best…
I like it
HOOD RICH
or
STLL FLY
Mannie would be proud. LOL
X…
Did a few more little things…
-
Installed LEDs in the parking lights
-
Installed Bane’s stealth bulbs
-
Blacked out the front amber side markers
-
Installed LED festoon bulbs in the license plate bracket
-
I have DDM 6000K HIDs. The incandescent parking lights did not look good next to nice white/blue color of the HIDs (obviously)
Here is a pic of HIDs + OEM parking lights:
Here is a pic of just the OEM parking lights:
I purchased two types of bulbs from superbrightleds.com
in WHITE
and
in COOL WHITE
I probably should have gotten the wled-x6 in "natural white, because it turned out pretty blue. However, it wasn’t a big deal because the -whp9 looked SOOO much better.
Installed:
-x6:
-whp9
It’s hard to tell in the pic, but the whp9 illuminates MUCH better than the -x6. Definitely the better choice (and 3 times the price!!)
Here’s a pic of both -whp9 with the HIDs on:
2: Installed stealth bulbs in the turn signals… not a lot to say here, you used to be able to see the amber bulb lurking inside the small inboard housing, but not anymore.
Reference pic:
Here’s a pic:
3: Blacked out the amber sidemarker… Used overlays that i bought for my first lotus from stickercity.com that i never wound up installing them. Somehow i managed to not lose them. I only put them on the front for now, i think it might be a bit much if also installed on the rear. I hate amber, but i don’t mind red. I like the way they look!
Some pics:
4: Lastly I installed these LED bulbs in the license plate area:
Got “cool white” it’s definitely pretty blue, but not as blue as the pictures seem to show. It’s probably about equivalent to an 8K hid bulb. I think it looks really fu!cking good though, especially because there are no other “white-ish” bulbs in that area. (rear end is now red, white, and blue-ish!!! sooo patriotic)

are you covering up the exhaust for a reason? lol
i appreciate the ‘pics at post 140’ title as i have it set to 50/page and i assume most dont
thats a bad ass go kart you have there. i have yet to see one upclose
well that’s where the license plate would go, and i needed something to show what the light would look like on a license plate.
Love all the small add ons. I think you should put black covers on the rear reflectors too IMO.
The license plate bulbs look like a neon stick under there.
Hope you dont get pulled over one Fast and Furious 4 comes out
this will be really hot when we roll by hhs at about 255 sometime in the next few months. with a better stereo
