For a friend of mine. No I’m not buying a Viper. I think most of you know I’d buy a C6Z before a Viper. Though it’s insane how cheap nice GenII’s are these days. Waaaay cheaper than C6Zs. This one is a very clean, low mileage '98 GTS with a ROE supercharger and a few other basic mods. It’s putting down 550RWHP and 570ish RWTQ on a Dynojet with a mail order tune, through stock exhaust. My buddy plans to do headers and full exhaust, roller rockers, and a “real” tune along w/ a bit more boost to go for 650RWHP. Either that or sell the ROE and go TT. Anyway, I’ll report back on how she drives.
Well, it’s fast that’s for sure. It wasn’t “shit my pants” fast like I thought it’d be though. The low-end torque is pretty amazing though. The driving position flat SUX though. There’s no dead-pedal or even room to rest your foot to the left of the clutch. And 3.08 gears are a shame in this thing. Cruising 65mph in 5th (yes, 5th not 6th) it was only 2k. And why was I only cruising 65? Well you would be too if you were driving a bright-red Viper that’s not registered to you in any way and you have no paperwork on. :blah:
I did lay into it a few times though, and the top of 2nd WOT does induce smiles, and perhaps a “semi.”

That’s my house, I’m storing the Viper for my buddy while he’s in Iraq for most of this month. I put my Z06 in my Parents’ garage. The yellow FD is the ex-housemate’s that also has the ///M5 I drove across the country (and if any of you fucks other than beattsi would have come out for wings you could have verified that) but we’re still storing it at the house too.
Somebody post an image in this thread that they want me to print up and take a pic w/ it on the Viper tonight if you all really care that much. Haha.
I wonder when everyone is going to realize that this is all horseshit, and this faggot is still living in his parents basement, driving a mid 80’s Cavalier to his job of keeping dust off the server racks at Google.
