Pickup truck

Need a open-bed pickup truck this weekend (Sat. and Sun. just to be
safe) to haul an engine around Brampton (and a bit in Mississauga).

I don’t need to keep the truck with me; just need it to transport the goods
for the day. Every stop point is close to the other so there isn’t a lot of
driving involved.

I will re-imburse you witih either gas money or :boink: :naughty:

Please contact me if you got…I am just seeing my options before I go and
rent from U-Haul or something.

Where are you going? Maybe I can help with my Cube Van. But I’m at a wedding and getting some work on my car done on Sunday. So all depends how long it takes. I think Ima be home Saturday evening. The wedding is Friday.

Driving/stops will be made at:

  • Ted/Nate to pickup hoist (if all is good with them)
  • My house (Hurontario & Ray Lawson)
  • Varun (Hurontario & Matheson)
  • Dad’s shop (Steeles & Dixie)

All these locations are roughly 5-10km from my house. If I have the
hoist, then I just need a vehicle to transport the motor to and fro.

I really want to have the old motor out and new motor in by Saturday end.

Worst case I’ll just rent a U-Haul

Ill have to find out when I’ll be home by on Saturday. Maybe like Saturday evening no promises.

Plan is to:

  1. Pick up hoist
  2. Pull KA
  3. Haul it to dad’s shop
  4. Clean engine bay for couple hours
  5. Pick up SR
  6. Drop it in
  7. Return hoist
  8. ???
  9. Profit

That’s the plan. Sooner I start the better.

Well if you don’t mind an all nighter it should be feasable.

U-Haul is $20 + $0.59/KM for 8hrs

I figure I won’t be doing any more then 50KM in the day so $40-$50 for
the truck rental for the day.

I guess I can live with that. Unless someone has something during the day. :dunno:
