because i want to run race gas, and slicks. so if my 30R is maxed which apparently it might be, i’m going to get a 35R seeing as how i’m spooling max boost at 3800rpms, and almost 400trq before 4500… the hp is falling off before it makes sick power. so the 35R will take a bit longer to spool and won’t get choked out as fast. i want to spend the money, if i have to… but i thought this setup would work. either way my car will be back within the next few weeks on pump gas at around 450 again… until i save money for the clutch/catchcan/twin disk.
the parts for it brooks said would be like 150-175 for the fittings, and i don’t weld… or know what i’m doing, so i guess i’m paying the rest in labor/installation. no idea… this is why after i reach the goal i want i’m done with tuning, just gonna buy something baller and drive slow.
it was getting a few things added this year, new injectors, and maintenence parts like distributor, LMA’s, and when they did the lma’s my cam’s were messed up along with some of my rocker arms so i replaced everything. Also bought a new tranny cause i blew out 5th gear at the end of last summer. So i was suppose to just get it all put back together, and get a pump/race and street tune and have it back a week ago… but now they are having trouble getting it to push more than 16psi… which sucks so they are figuring it out, and either way i should have it back on pump, around 450hp, within the next week or so… and then ill figure it out from there. i might bee a bigger turbo :
yeah mk430r’s setup was around $75 for all the stuff, pm him and there was no welding involved in his its a pretty simple setup, I’m actually planning on doing it to my car within the next few days now that i have some $$ to spare
my crank case pressure was rediculously high, apparently because i made like 400trq very early in my rpm’s and therefore the cylinders withstand the pressure that much longer… or atleast thats what i think the issue is… so they recommended that i get a 2 5/8" fittings on the valve cover and gave me a couple options on the catch can… but the welding/fittings/stainless steel lines/catch can were around 150 plus installation. i’ve already paid more than i had to for everything else why not keep the trend alive.
if i could do it myself it might be a different story. with all the money i spent on my car the last couple years the idea of oil pusing past the rings doesn’t sound pleasant so i gotta do something
side note: my dipstick flew out of the block on the dyno.
