Pizza Junction closed...

might have been the 1/4 million owed in back taxes had something to do with it too. When my father in law died in June the family came up and they decided to get a PJ pie for old times. I called and ordered it. Think it was 1/2Tray 1/2 pep mush 1/2 pine ham. told me $30+!!!1 I waited about 15 mins and called back and asked if they said 30 some bucks for a half tray and 2 items? they said yes and I said please cancel that order. Called good guys, $18!!!

I grew up on Wurlitzer. I worked at Junction in high school as well. I was the first employee over at good guys when three of the managers split from junction to open it. All of whom are my friends.

I cannot attest to the cocaine allegation but I will say the son who took it over sucked real bad. Between stiffer competition, rising overhead and a shit economy I can see why things would have started to go down hill. I doubt that online ordering is going to be the way to go. However if you lower your overhead by closing and just operate everything yourself it could work providing he really has the demand.

I like Good Guys better. The sauce recipe is different, that is really the main thing that distinguishes any quality pizza from another. Dough second, I’m pretty confident that the dough is the same recipe. The guys who left Junction to open Good Guys were just that, the Good Guys. Everyone knew them who came into Junction and for a very long time they were the heart and soul of that place. They saw how the place was starting to take a nose dive in 2000 and decided it was time to part. The rest is NT history.

Lived in NT over on robinson back when I was a kid. Used to always get pizza at junction. It was good back then, talking late 80’s early 90’s.

First junction pizza I had was when my wife and I rented a house in the city of tonawanda over on Kibler. While we were moving in we ordered just randomly picking a place out of the phone book for our friends helping us and it happened to be Junction. I was a little surprised at the cost but when the pizza arrived and it felt like the box was full of cement I started to understand why it was more expensive than a typical Buffalo pie. Never seen so many big eaters have a couple squares and be full.

I’m jonesing for pizza… ughh, pizza meet in stuart fl?

I love good guys, but I hate how you order onions on the pizza and the WHOLE thing is covered to the point you can’t see the actual pizza.

What is this imperial pizza you speak of?

I’ve never had.

south buffalo Abbott rd. past mercy hospital going towards lackawanna

Dudes on Reddit say the place owed $510,000 in back taxes. Combined with the owners desire to retire from 12-16 hour days.

They had a deal in place to sell the biz to a group of investors but it fell through two days before closing. Which is the reason for the abrupt closure. They are still looking for someone to buy the place so it may open back up at some point.

Bump…

Pizza Junction will be back in business in a little over a month with new ownership.

Obese NTers rejoice!

We order imperial once a week at work

Coming soon on Discovery Channel… PIZZA WARS!
