ok… so here is the deal.
i am helping plan a bachelor party, and we are looking for either of the following:
a bar with reasonable pricing that will allow us to run some gambling, raffles, beer pong, etc. perhaps “entertainment” as well, but not a dealbreaker.
some kind of fire hall, vfw post, similar, etc. maybe a large picnic shelter.
the location MUST be in or very close to or preferably IN the city.
any suggestions?
I had mine at Westfields pub on Millersport just north of UB campus. Price was good, they locked the doors from 4-8 so we could have multiple strippers and whatever other debauchery we wanted. There’s a back patio for your smoking pleasure.

I’d probably vote a smaller, local bar where you know the people that own/operate it.
Caputi’s was good and reasonable. Not in the city though.
King’s Court downtown on Delaware has a good stag setup. You get the upstairs room all to yourself with your own bartender. We’ve had a blackjack table there and entertainment is no problem. Last stag I threw there it was about $18 a person including buffet style dinner and open bar with beer and well drinks for 4 hours. Good luck, throwing a stag is a much bigger pain in the ass than you would think.

Whatever you do, don’t procrastinate on booking strippers. Last minute strippers are not a good time. I nearly puked. We actually sent them home and went to the bar. You can blame my old roommate for me knowing this.
I went to two at the Snyder Bar and Grill.

Mine was at the steer, they have a whole upstairs area for it which was nice, and if i recall it was pretty inexpensive compared to other places… looked at goodbar and bullfeathers also, both were pretty crappy.
Mine was at the Hidden Shamrock in Depew(on transit). Cheap enough, supplied food and all you could drink, Back room for entertainment. Obviously not in the city, but figured I’d mention it.
All in all it was a good place.
went to one at westfields last summer… i also recommend there.
I went to one at the Bears den on abbot, it was nice they gave us the whole basement decent size and it was open bar and i recall it not being to expensive. It is not the nicest place but after we got a school bus down town, ala in all it was a great time

didn’t you used to bartend/bounce at places in buffalo through college? i bartended at goodbar, which was originally where we were going to have it, but it fell through for various reasons…
