please help, keep stock fly wheel or switch to exedy 14lb for sr20

hey guys need some quick advise getting a stage 5 clutch put in and want to know if i should just machine the stock fly wheel or go with a little bit lighter exedy one. if i go lighter i may lose torque and boost? i don’t want to lose any push from what it’s at right now. from what i understand if the cars for drag keep the stock one, and if it’s for time attack drift go with lighter weight?

Lose torque and boost?? Where did you hear this?

Wtf is a stage 5 clutch ?? Sprung or Unsprung? Kevlar? Metallic? Full face or pucks? Dual or single diaphragm?

It’s a bully 4 puck sprung clutch kit stage 5 is the best you can get

If you can get the flywheel for cheap buy it. Otherwise I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money. Lighter flywheel wont lose boost or torque, It reduces the rotation mass and drag put on your power train which means more power at the wheels. You’ll have to be more accurate when rev matching and starting from a stop because the engine will rev up and down faster when the clutch is pressed in.

best you can get is an opinion…

that I do not share…

how much power are you making? the bully stage 2 kit can hold up to about 350tq i believe.

just resurface stock dude
stage 5? seems over kill but how much power u planning to make

I would spend the 400 on an exedy stg 2

the bully stage 5 was $1400 i got it for $800

$1400 for a clutch that doesn’t include a flywheel is retard prices.

I have a os giken twin plate, with light os flywheel for 300, lol. 905 962 7498

and a Spec Stage 2, with flywheel(light) 350 (almost new too)

and a Exedy Twin Plate, in great shape for 420

^of course you do.
