Shit, lets just legalize murder while we’re at it!!! It’s my right to kill someone if i don’t like them, or if i need more money for crack! Darwinism Baby!!!
see, this is where you cant see past your own ignorance and dislike of me.
As a libertarian, I think that the government should stay out of your personal life. What you smoke, who you fuck, what you drink, what you eat, what you watch on tv… the government has no right to infringe on those things.
Kinda different than murder, rape, theft. Those are laws that PROTECT PEOPLE FROM OTHER PEOPLE.
If you really cant tell the difference, then may the lord have mercy on your soul.
I understand politics just fine. Unfortunatly if you did you would understand that is not just a simple cut and dry issue to legalize it because you like to do it.
But thats all your platform has, You ask what benifits and after you run out of tax excuses and freedom of choice, you skew the subject into jailing people that are obese…
No stats, no plan, no real reasoning. Just its my right and I like to do it…
I’m not advocating the use of hard drugs. However, prohibition doesnt work. Much like the war against terror. Its not a war that should be fought with guns, its a war of perception and thought.
Just out of curiousity do you happen to know the number of violent crimes that stem from drug use? I.E - Rape, murder, robbery?
And you are the idiot who can’t grasp the concept that everything is intertwined and thats why there is no simple answer and it comes down to pos and cons being weighed in.
Ohhh my bad. I forgot the world trade center was knocked down via osmosis.
are you even reading this shit after you type it?
no But I bet he can tell you why fat people whould be jailed
Not jailing millions of otherwise innocent people for smoking a harmless plant isnt a benefit? Again with the Sight and Sound “i dont give a fuck about anyone else but myself”.
the ending of prohibiton would reduce the rape/murder/robberies.
Remember the prohibition of alcohol? Remember how that worked out?
Right. And it was knocked down by 10 people. We’ve blown up about 50,000 people since then. Feel any safer?
To stop terrorism we can do one of two things:
-
Kill the people that want to kill us
-
Make the people that want to kill us NOT want to kill us anymore.
The war on terror is adding fuel to an already dangerous fire.
i dont think fat people should be jailed you fucking idiot. I was illustrating a point.
“The National Institute of Justice’s Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring (ADAM) Program tests urine samples voluntarily collected from arrestees throughout the United States. During 2002, data on adult male arrestees in 36 sites and adult female arrestees in 23 sites were collected. A median of 41.5% of adult male arrestees and 28.4% of adult female arrestees tested positive for marijuana at arrest”
Hmmm almost half of the male arrestees were high on weed at time of arrest?
“Another National Institute of Justice report looked at ADAM data from 1987 through 1999 to track the upsurge in marijuana use among youthful adult arrestees. The study found that most ADAM locations have experienced a rapid increase in marijuana use among youthful arrestees, from an average of 25% in 1991 to 57% by 1996. The study concluded that marijuana appears to be the drug of choice among youth coming of age in the 1990s who tend to get in trouble with the law.”
Drug of choice for law breaking youth. Lets legalize it and make it even easier for them to get!!!
“Data from convicted jail inmates in 1998 indicate that 138,000 of them were under the influence of drugs when they committed their offense. Approximately 18.5% were under the influence of marijuana or hashish;”
Hmmm, far from playing video games and getting the munchies huh?
here’s some statistics for ya Mike:
Among adults age 18 to 25, the rate increased slightly from 53.0 percent to 53.8 percent in 2002. The percentage of young adults age 18 to 25 who had ever used marijuana was 5.1 percent in 1965, but increased steadily to 54.4 percent in 1982.
So you want to imprison over 50% of people aged 18-25. Thats awesome. And lets look at that other statistic. from 5.1% in 1965 to 54% in 1982. Looks like that war on drugs is really working.
Dude look at the source, that is bias and will not be view as real statistics or studys. Just like everything I posted.
Again dealing with pot smokers like DS goes back to this…
Marijuana Dangers
Impaired perception
Diminished short-term memory
Loss of concentration and coordination
Impaired judgement
Increased risk of accidents
Loss of motivation
Diminished inhibitions
Increased heart rate
Anxiety, panic attacks, and paranoia
Hallucinations
Damage to the respiratory, reproductive, and immune systems
Increased risk of cancer
Psychological dependency
Yup and you are a statistic and look how well you fare…
We don’t need 50% of the population acting like you over fucking weed.
I dont know how much clearer i can state my point. Almost half of all male arrestees are high on marijuana at time of arrest. Why would we legalize it and have them be able to get in at the local 7/11?
Oh by the way, don;t go to the same sites I go to and try to claim that the shit you pull off there is ok, but mine is a bunch of nonsense…
No, over half of them had a positive urine test. They could have smoked a month ago and still tested positive.
And I suppose that if marijuana were eradicated from the face of the earth, adolestent crime would stop. Just because people that commit crimes smoke pot doesnt mean that its the pot that made them commit the crimes.
“Data from convicted jail inmates in 1998 indicate that 138,000 of them were under the influence of drugs when they committed their offense. Approximately 18.5% were under the influence of marijuana or hashish;”
Hmmm, far from playing video games and getting the munchies huh?
the vast majority of people in prison are in jail for possession of drugs. I cant imagine that they would have had it in their system as well. Astounding facts you have there.
You must have missed Darkstar’s utopia Memo.
