It’s not a reasonable answer. I’m not a butcher but can say with confidence that a big animal that walks on 4 legs and says “moo” is fucking delicious.
i think the point is that rubio is not a scientist himself and does not feel as though he could independently determine the age of the earth because it is beyond his depth… that said you would think he would be capable of forming an opinion based upon the information provided to him by those who do have the knowledge to come to these determinations…no one is asking him to discover the age of the earth…just express what he believes it to be based upon the available information…
i think he probably skirted the question more to avoid offending creationists than to avoid those who support evolution and the big bang theory.
there are many professions and areas of expertise that rubio himself holds zero knowledge and that isn’t going to stop him from voting on legislation that will impact those areas… i highly doubt he will refuse to vote on agriculture bills because he isn’t a farmer…
Sometimes you guys are a little too open minded, to the point of misleading yourselves in order to avoid drawing obvious conclusions. It obviously was a loaded question with a loaded response.
The real question was “Senator do you serve a constituency that rejects science when it contradicts their religion?”
That one doesn’t even sound like they take themselves seriously, but rather continue a 2 century old society for fun. Though I’m sure there are red state retards amongst them who think the earth is flat, despite their GPS’s and internet connectiosn and pretty much anything else invented in the last 150 years.
