Possible Civic purchase...Need D15..PICS of car

ok its a 93 CX. The motor either has a bad head or gasket, blowing white smoke like crazy. If I decide to buy this car(probably for $250-300) I would just rather put in a replacement used motor. Has 171K on the clock and BASE model…no a/c or power options.
Does anyone have a D15 for sale ? If not how much will I pay for this motor? It looks like there is a lot of room to work and pull it and replace in one day? Give me some options guys and let me know what you all have for it. It is still up in the air if I am going to buy it or not. Just looking for a daily driver, and possibly a low boost setup. lemme know!

DX motor with 144K miles for $350
'93 Si motor with 123K miles for $877
'94 Si for $715

and a '95 GSR motor with 129K miles for $2340.

to much to much…its like a lawn tractor motor…now worth 350…this needs to be a cheap car

check out best foreign auto parts . they have quite a few motors up there both still in some cars and some out of the cars. either way i’m sure you could find something really cheap. if you’re at rmu, its about 15 minutes north on 60 so its worth a shot.

thanks man…FMF, will the stock ECU run the 16 valve? I am swapping the intake mani and distributor to the 16V? will it be lean or safe to drive? Want to chip it for me?

it should be fine to drive, i have a d series ecu but its for a vx

I have a D16a6 head. U can swap the head and keep the D15 block. I can let it go dirt cheap.Let me know.

Thanks everyone for your help on finding a motor. The car was trailored last night by Jeff at 1st try, and the we are swapping the motor on Tuesday. Probably with in the following two weeks if everything works out financially on the swap it will be boosted as well. I stuck with a D15 but went from 8V to 16V. Since I already got a standalone fuel setup on the accord w/ boost, I am going for a low budget 5psi FMU turbo setup. Again…Thanks everyone, especially Jeff.

BTW, if you haven’t stop at McB Autosport, alls I have to say is HOLY SHIT. I will definatly be seeing more of him.HE has more sawwweeeet cars than World of Wheels x 5. Thanks a lot Mark and DALIFTS.
