been wanting a leather for a while, finally broke down and ordered one.

and for the bike riders: I dont get it…I have a basic aluminum mountain bike that I ride back and forth to work and ride around on and its fine :gotme: I guess for me the heavier it is, the more effort it takes to move and the harder I have to work and maybe that constitutes getting rid of the beer gut a little quicker?

oh dont get me wrong, they provide us with all of the latest “state of the art” safety gear and equipment, and the helmet thats “standard issue” is halfway decent, but I like the looks and comfort of the leather. This one also has a particular kind of eye shield that I really like that we do not have on our helmets and although they could be put on, I can;t really just do drilling holes in something thats not technically mine to modify it. If i ever go to another department, I can always take this one with me, so its kind of like a one-time investment you could say.
