Does the P4 run hot as hell in there? I had an HP with a 2.4 P4 and it was like capable of giving 2nd degree burns to the crotchular region

AMD Athlon 64 FX60 Socket 939 (Water Cooled) and over clocked to 2.8, for now.
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
2Gb DDR
ATI Radeon X1900 XT
SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum

Ok i just got mine built after my Dell fiasco.

Gigabyte P35-DS3R
ASUS EN9600GT
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

1-74 Gig raptor OS drive (Going to be for sale when my 7200.11 comes in)
1-500 Gig Seagate sata 3
1-320 gig Seagate 7200.11 (brand new drive, faster than the raptor from what ive read.)
1-500 WD 7200rpm sata 1.5
1-300 Maxtor something

Stock cooling, not overclocked, though this chip can go up to 4ghz with limited cooling, memory running at full 1066. At 1280x1024 I scored 11,469 in 3dmark 06. I think once i get the new drive i might try to oc this thing a bit.

I played a 2 hour games of supreme commander forged alliance last night on a 80km map and this thing didnt flinch, next i want to try crysys.

dell fiasco? What was the issue with that? Thought you had a nice 8800gt and 2.9ghz quad?

I guess ill update my specs too since this topic was…forever ago.

-2x EVGA 8800GTS (G92) 752/1878/2104
-150Gb Raptor
-1KW PCP&C Turbo-Cool

3D Marks at a little over 20k

I did ,but had to send it back after seeing how much it would of cost me a month lol

haha, ya building is usually quite a bit cheaper. And you get exactly what you want. Overclocking headroom is the biggest plus in building yourself. That wolfdale of yours will hit 4.0 easy. Buy a zalman 9700, oc the chip to 3.8-4.0 and then oc your gpu with rivatuner. I bet you can break 13k on the 3d mark.

lol
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=6153864

This guy hit 19k on 3dmark with my same setup.
Holy shit that zalman is expensive.

I dont need that big of a cooler with this 45nm chip im thinking.

thats cpu is sittin at 4500mhz though. Thats gotta be rare, even for that cpu. Must be on water. That vid card has to be insanely overclocked too. Ive got 2 cards, both of which when by themselves are better than a single 9600gt, and his gpu scores are just as good. Thats nuts. Then again even when my q6600 is at 3.6, it bottlenecks my cards. I should go for the q9450 soon.

MSI 8800GT 512

[3 years old except vid card, getting 250 constant in cod4]

Desktop
P4 prescott 3.0E @ 3.8GHz stable(peaks at 48*C on air)
1GHz FSB, 2GB ddr-ram

24" widescreen lcd

Lappy
dell vostro 1500

I OCd my vid card a bit, this is all on stock cooling, no clipping, no artifacts. Using expertool, but plan on going with riva tuner.

Stock settings for this card are.

650 MHZ GPU/900 MHZ Memory and 1625 Shader

Not too bad on stock cooling.
