It was good for about a 23k in 3d06. Havent tried vantage yet, but thats where these gpus really shine.

lol prick.

that’s a pretty nice GPU setup  nice clock on the quad too. Things a monster

waiting for the i7’s to come out to upgrade

not bad, thats a pretty heavy duty setup. Would make an outstanding server  I’ve heard good things about the xeons

Dual Intel Xeon CPU X5355 @ 2.66GHz
26 gigs of RAM
2 TB of SAN Storage

I win

Me too. lol

Novermber 14th. I actually want to see quality benchmarks first though. If it shows that they arent quite as overclockable and performance is close, Ill keep my current setup a bit longer. Im actually considering ditching my gpus too since i really dont play many games on it. Just get a barebones gpu and get another HD for raid so its a fast runner, not a gamer. Decisions, decisions…

eh i just bought a new rig last night because i was bored.
Gigabyte p45 Mobo
MSI OC 9800gt 512 ddr3 (price was amazing on this ATM)
2Gb Geil EVO ONE
250gb hd
Wolfdale 8400 3.0 (gonna rock it at about 3.8)
Zalman 9700

4.2 is def doable for that chip. Maybe more. Duals OC better than quads.

yeah but i’m gonna keep it liveable. no need to kill it faster if it’s not necessary. I’m just pumped because it only cost me $630.

The life of the chips arent affected that much as long as voltage isnt too crazy high to hit those speeds and you keeps temps down. I wouldnt be too worried. But ya, $630 for that is nice.

Also got a case in there too. Free rainbow six also. it’ll decimate this crummy p4 i’m running now. This p4 OC’d still blows.

Yeah i went from a P4 to a Quad-Core …what a fuckin difference

Just picked this up for pretty cheap, don’t do any gaming or media prodcution so it should be fine:

Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q8200 (4MB L2, 2.33GHz, 1333FSB)
8 GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz
2 X 640 GB SATA Hard Drives
256MB ATI Radeon HD 3450 supporting HDMI
16X DVD +/- RW

Monitor is just a 24" Dell I have had for a year or two.

ASUSTeK Computer INC. M2N-SLI 1.XX 200 megahertz(shit board)
2.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 5000+
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
2.61 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
C: 250GB SATA Drive
D: 200GB SATA Drive
Logitech G25 Racing Wheel USB
O and some 450 or 500w power supply

I only use it for online racing so it doesnt need to be anything special but runs pretty damn good im happy.
