Power Wheels Mustang

Looks like it’s rollin’ on twentyfo’s.I think I actually like the PW better then the regular car. That silver saleen on here was nice tho

D
Edit: beat me by 1 min. on the 24’s

Yeah the wheels are a bit out of proportion, but it is a toy and those are the ‘rules’ to make something toyish…overexaggerate the features. The headlights were designed with lighting in mind but our safety team says no to that one as they don’t want to portray the image that it is okay for kids to ride these at night. My good friend here headed the project up and when we were doing the concepting and refining of the idea we made sure to leave as many elements in here to make this car as real as possible as we both will be grabbing on of these and doing some mods to them; real lights, extra motor, sizes so we could drive it (I’ve drove the one in the pics…looks funny to see me in there). We’ll also throw a nice paint job on there too for extra measure.

SCsteve: designers use Alias or Rhino usually, while the engineers use ProE when it comes to the computer. But all projects here start with pen and paper. The hardest part with PW is meeting all the size and safety requirements while still maintaining the ‘look’ of the real thing. Our safety standards are twice as stringent as the government standards and can be a big pain to work around.

I forgot probably the coolest feature on the car…my Mustang was used for the sound effectshttp://tcstangs.com/forum/images/smilies/msmiley1.gif Turn the key and there’s a series of sounds; idle, revs, brakestand, burnout, drive brake, braking, etc. They hooked up microphones to my car and started recording while I destoyed the parking lot at work.

That’s awesome, nice work.

Did they buy you new tires?

Should have
D

Yes they did:) I was suprised that I only took off 2.5/32nds of tread from all that…

 I did an internship years ago there. Interesting company to work for.

Sweet. They need to make a new vette PW now.I’ll help
D

Some other company owns the license to do the Vette so as of right now we can’t do one.

do a Dodge dynasty next :stuck_out_tongue:

Call Nissan and Do an R34 Skyline

thats fuckin awesome. gota do an 08 camaro now so we can race :tspry:

thats badass lol. wish they wernt so expensive when i was a kid, they have gone down in price alot.

Holy shit the interior looks of better quality than the real thing too. I want one.

Saw that and many other :snky: things in teamcenter when i used to work for onesource last year

I like the tire marks leading out to the warehouse. I used to leave some of my own in the parking lot (as best i could) with the warehouse golf cart

Jacking the brake and turning the wheel with a 300lb cart behind you=fun

ahahahah

very cool man,… awww

So would it be easy to switch the headlights and tails back to functional, for a potential owner?

And that’s pretty sweet you car will now forever be embedded in time, and listened to across the country.

So you work on the 3rd floor of the team center? :stuck_out_tongue: I do quite a bit of work at FP…matter of fact I was there today  Some very cool stuff in the works up there.

get those fukers to make em outta steel again, like the old days. That one is pretty cool but will never last more than say 2 years.

I so want to buy one, and swap some high-powered rc-car motors in with a 24v system, and rubber tires.

 onesource. God that job sucked. Worked for them at FP for two summers. Got to see some cool shit and do some stupid shit.
