PRE-cooler, v.turbo honda

i think you can run like 5lbs safe with out a IC after the turbo as long as it does not get crazy hot … but that is still funny … all the honda guys are doing it

I ran an IC before, sort of…

It was only for a day, and there was no turbo, So I did it N/A to fully appreciate
the added pressure drop.

I was too lazy to pull all my IC plumbing to add the filter post intercooler.
That was back when I expected to boost it again :lol:

So they have an air to air intercooler hooked to the inlet of the turbo. And this air to air intercooler, that has no ability to get the ambient air any cooler than, well ambient is supposed to do what besides create an inlet restriction, cause a high impeller RPM and poor compressor efficiency. WOW, this is what happens when you remove shops programs from schools and put in computer labs.

My stepdad (who was in line with me) doesn’t know a turbo from vtec, but judging by my handling of the convo he was going to bring up the turbo mustang and i just sshh’ed him. I didn’t want to be there for 2 hours.

An EGT gauge shows the exhaust gas temperature of a combustion engine in conjunction with a sensor and is a thermocouple pyrometer. This meter is most used in turbo equipped cars. If the sensor is installed after the turbo, the exhaust temperature can be monitored. If the sensor is installed at the manifold collector before the turbo, the turbine inlet temperature can be monitored.

If the sensor is installed at the turbine inlet, it results in higher temperatures and it reacts faster to the engine’s condition compared to a installation after the turbo.

At a balanced air fuel ratio, the exhaust gas temperature is lower than in a lean or rich air fuel ratio.

EGT gauges are sometimes used at engine tuning.
