doing a duel bosch setup and wondering what micron filers i should run. not having much luck finding any that can flow enough lph. any help would be appreciated. 8an lines. im looking for compact filters prolly the screen type. lots of paper element ones put they are kinda big and price is a little high.
I would think you need a 10 micron filter before the injectors becuase the screens in the injectors are 7-8 micron. Stock filter in a honda is 10 micron. I think they run like 25 before the filter? I’m not positive on this
Typical in tank sock is between 50 and 70. Get an aeromotive or earls inline… like a 40 micron or so before the pumps and 10 after.
THIS:
two: EAR-230108ERL 's
-8 35microns, $35 ea. pre pumps. then post pump run a 10m single filter up stream once you join the lines or dump it out of a surge tank.
on this note, would it be better to run the 10m filter as close to the fuel rail as you can for better flow upstream or just do it out back where the other filters, pumps, cell and shit are?
i alteady have it up by the rail from my old setup so ill just lave it there, thanks for the help
No problem man… anything else about fittings/filters/etc just ask. Earl’s products are awesome just so you know haha
Yeah. Lance really knows his shit, esp in that aspect
only in that aspect
I’d consider running the Aeromotive 100 microns before the pumps. Really want the least restriction possible in this application.
Exactly…

this is what i have found( i first saw this a while back but missed it was gph and thought it was lph) 130gph(492lph)@75psi seems like plenty of flow. i know i want as little restriction before the pumps but they are a third the price of the 100micron ones and half the size. fitting them in would be easier and it would cost me $60for both 40micron vs $200+ for both 100micron. i’m just trying to save a little $ bc i have much to go around.
is your sump done already? you can do a single -10 from the tank to a 100 micron filter, and then split it to 2 an-8, then go 2 an-6 from the outlets of the pumps into a single an-8 to the front of the car.
yea i already have everything to go two -8’s off the tank to pumps then to two -6 to a y and a single -8
I’d consider just doing a dual feed/center return rail if applicable rather than Y’ing them back together before the rail.
it doesnt matter -8 can supply enough fuel for some insane power.
I know, I just think it’s cleaner to run it as dual feed, rather than one line turning into two, than two back into one, extra “Y” block, etc. Obviously either way will work fine though
maybe becaue you will be driving on the streets, but most of the guys that drag, miller, TD Auto, tony…dont run a pre-filter.
