fuel filters, what sizes do i need?

what micron ratings do i need for a 500 HP setup? im thinking ~40 micron prefilter and 10 micron postfilter. can someone please give me a quick lesson on filters? also product suggestions and links would be greatly appreciated! Im running -8an and a holley blue pump with a mallory return style FPR. THANKS!

you dont need -8an. -6an in plenty.

but if you must use the -8an to look cool then i would just go with one of these.

Well seeing as how all my lines are 8an I’m gonna need an -8 filter lol

i have one somewhere make me an offer and its yours … check my old posts

nobody on this whole forum can offer me any insight? :frowning:

bump

micron is the filtering ability. not realy so much flow. anything you choose -8 will be more then enough for 500whp since thats realy not alot of power. I personaly run this filter and im making well over 500whp.

I just run the factory efi canister’s, & Prior’s has ur basic inline filter’s, we’ve never had problem’s, just stay away from Res gas & you’ll be fine.

Being carbed makes no difference? Sry for the million questions but I want to be absolutely sure. I’m nearing the end of this project and want as few speedbumps as possible

Come get my -8 filter for 20 bucks. its got since april on it, prolly 4 tanks of gas

being carb makes no diff
