Unique Design, Top Quality Materials and Construction
The filter element is made from medical grade, type 304 stainless steel micronic filter cloth to provide unmatched protection against oil contamination and resultant engine damage. A one inch square of this material flows an incredible 1.9 gallons of oil per minute at only 1 PSI pump pressure. The adhesive used in the filter assembly process is good to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, far above normal engine operating temperatures. A super strength nickel-plated neodymium rare earth magnet is installed in the top of the element for magnetic pre-filtering of the oil. The sophisticated bypass is engineered for proper differential pressures and consistent operation, delivering a greater percentage of filtered oil while being very easy to clean. The twist lock design assures positive filter element placement and allows for easy disassembly, inspection and cleaning. The quad-ring gasket doubles the seal between the filter and the engine. Finally, the filter housing is carved out of a solid chunk of 6061T6 billet aluminum, which not only looks trick but aids in dissipating heat.

MEDICAL-GRADE-MICRONS

lol who goes as far as to cut up their old filter to see whats in it

Regardless I wouldn’t even bother, especially a re-use seems like more hassle and more likely to contaminate than typical throwout filters.

Purelator Gold has a 99.9% filtration rate and a decent pressure reading, borderline too high for around $7, what more do you want?

That filter is like ballin’ while your ballin’ >Insert Xzibit here< :rofl

No thanks.

its just a reusible cartrdge setup , less filtration that paper and more of a hassle dude . just run a napa gold "wix " filter and be done

+1, Napa Gold is a great filter. In fact, IMO, anything other than a Fram (or a filter that Fram makes for another company and paints it differently) is a good choice, even the WalMart SuperTech one. No need to waste money on a KN, Mobil 1, Amsoil, etc, again, IMO.

Like others said I run a variety of filters mobil 1 napa gold motorcraft with no issues. I’ve been told to stay away from fram.

so you want people to buy decent oil, but skip out on a decent filter for pure garage? :dunno

fram is junk , most all filters are the same no need to get a exp one . all it is is good marketing man

Go look up some tests on filters, and who owns who and which filters are identical and just rebranded.

As others said Fram is the worst on the market.

Fram tough guard is averagely decent.

People who really drive their cars. A magnetic drain plug can only show you so much, and there’s a ton more in the filter. It’s important to see what’s in the filter, especially during engine break ins and such.

With that said, I’ve never cut up a filter, sent my oil out to be tested, or bothered w/ a magnetic drain plug.

I’ve always run napa gold/wix personally and had great results. Seems like a novelty thing more then anything else.

i do cut my filter open , every other oil change . srs i do . i wanna know what is going on

ive already done this…years ago…

i only use(d) toyo roki (s2k oil filter before honda went cheap with shit fram), napa gold, purolater gold, mobil 1, k&n.

i normally get the autozone oil change special for $30. consists of 5 quarts of castrol (0w30 german spec) & mobil 1 or k&n filter.

there is now reason to use that exp of a filter as it does nothing better than a wix " the best " i.m.o or a delco or a purolator

It’s not that expensive considering it’s a package deal.

5 quarts + 1 filter for $30.

Normally, the oil is $8.49/quart

8.49 x 5 = $42.45 without the price of filter.

I save $12.45 and get a free $10-12 filter which are one of the best filters on the market according to testing.

i agree , but if it wasnt for the pachage i wouldnt lol

well yeah. if i get normal non-synthetic oil, i get purolator pure one filter deals.
