I am trying to decide between these oils
Royal purple/Mobil 1/castrol/Valvoline Full Synthetic
and gear oil such as redline etc.

so to the people using the best or the worst shit
drop down ur suggestions/compliments

also include oil filters

i use a fram filter and castrol gtx

never had any proplems

castrol syntec, oem nissan 350z oil filter for both my cars

I did not know the 350z and other filters fit on the sr20. I think i’ve been using the altima 2.5L filter.

conventional oil and filter…every 3000km. religiously. comes out clean, never have a problem. in the end you save big bucks as well.

but if i was ballin’ like you folks, mobil 1 is the shit with a fram syn tec filter

Redline 10w40 Full Synthetic Oil
K&N Gold Oil filter
Redline MT90 for Transmission
Redline 75w90 for Differential
Redline Synthetic ATF for PS

This be ma fluids.

As you can see I’m pretty much a redline kinda guy.

But honestly, the bottom line is, change everything often. You don’t have to have the ‘best’ fluid or brand or whatever, you could get cheap dino oil and just change every 5k or something… you’d be fine.

The great thing about synthetics is, they break down less, thus, need less changes. That is all.

Brands? Well… go pepsi mcdonalds yo. Sometimes… it’s just like people who rather buy Advil (a brand name) than Ibuprofen (a genetic name).
