Hey all! I’m new to this board so i havent posted much just because of my little project here and work to fund the project. This is my 86 e30 BMW that i got on the road july of last year, since then iset it on H&R sport springs, Bav auto control arm bushings, up the fuel pressure, intake, magnaflow muffler, GSR fat five wheels, stupid shit like that. Stock it had a 2.7 litre eta motor which is pretty much bottom of the barrel for their inline 6 cylinders.
Now i have a 2.5 litre “i” motor which produces 160 HP and 170 tq. Soon to be twin turbo with stock internals (low boost) hopefully by the end of the summer
Heres whats goin in:
-2.5L stock I6 motor w/ ARP head studs (rebuilt by me)
-3.73:1 LSD rear differential
-new rear subframe with toe and camber adjustment provisions
-reinforced rear control arms
-reinforced front subframe
-some cheap 17’s i got
-Megasquirt II V3 w/ LC-1 wideband O2, Stepper IAC,and GM DIS
-euro ellipsoid headlights soon to be with 6000k HID
-7K “i” cluster
Just please excuse the crappy body on the car, thats next winters task, matte black
This is when i first got her minus the fat fives.

More to come when i start getting everything together. Feel free to shoot comments or questions, especially questions since i’ve been drinking since i started this thread i might be making sence to you guys.
Who knows this guy lookin through the “borla-scope”?
first for this block setup. Looking to get about 250hp. But i want it to run reliably which is why i opted for the DIS. I cant wait, thats a problem ;D
i have high expectations for this car. It looks like it’ll be a pretty awesome project. Don’t know much about Euros, but when I see a camber bolts (err I think it’s a camber bolt) and a bare block; it’s a good sign.
The E30 chassis has gone mid 11s on a bone stock engine othe than head studs and a turbo kit with cut springs and slicks. Course it threw a rod through the block a month later but still, damn impressive from that little car. Around 250ish wheel will make a pretty fast little car. What made ya choose twin over a single larger turbo? Even the single turbo guys arent exactly running large turbos.
Well, I’ve disappeared for a bit but im back with progress. First to answer a question about choosing twin turbo vs single. By going twin for now i can utilize my stock exhaust manifolds which flow pretty good by themselves but if i were to join them with a Y pipe i cant it being as efficient unless i switched to a single tubular manifold for a single turbo. That can be later. :smile
So far the everything is back together and im just working out the kinks of Megasquirt, though i had to switch to the Extra firmware to run the waste spark, but no biggie. The car was running tonight but my timing is all messed up. Thats it! I’ll pics up later and the cars already on the road so it’ll be see around. Just looks out for a crappy looking mostly white e30! ;D
so i’ve been driving car around a bit without any idle control and running rich as balls, but so far so good, except for the clutch blew. Brand new clutch but i have no idea what happened. I cant seem to richen out enough to accel so its not like i was beating on it. Kinda pissed about it. Anyone in the area running MS2Extra? I could use a few tips considering this is my first standalone. However i am also using an LC-1 wideband, which seems to be ok but i dunno, anyone running one of those as well?
Anyways, more updates tomorrow when i drop the clutch.
btw, i would like to thank LaDuke89 for the muffler, it sounds great but i threw in another MagnaFlow 4" round can and now it sounds great!
