NEW YORK (AP) – Television had its biggest hit of the season last weekend.
Nielsen Top 10

Prime-Time viewership numbers compiled by Nielsen Media Research for December 24-30.

  1. “NBC Sunday Night Football: Tennessee at Indianapolis,” NBC, 15.8 million viewers.
  2. “NFL Football: New England at N.Y. Giants,” CBS, 15.68 million viewers.
  3. “NFL Football: New England at N.Y. Giants,” NBC, 13.23 million viewers.
  4. “60 Minutes,” CBS, 12.39 million viewers.
  5. “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” CBS, 10.69 million viewers.
  6. “Without a Trace,” CBS, 10.54 million viewers.
  7. “Sunday Night NFL Pre-Kick,” NBC, 10.38 million viewers.
  8. “Deal Or No Deal” (Tuesday), NBC, 9.78 million viewers.
  9. “Amazing Race 12,” CBS, 9.69 million viewers.
  10. “CSI: NY” (Thursday), CBS, 9.49 million viewers.

The New England Patriots’ clinching of a perfect season with a Saturday night win over the New York Giants was seen by an estimated 34.5 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research.

That was 9 million more than any prime-time entertainment show this season. It’s also, according to Nielsen’s records, the second most-watched National Football League regular season game in at least 20 years. Only a 1990 contest between the Giants and San Francisco 49ers did better.
The game wasn’t a windfall for any one particular network, however. Both CBS and NBC aired a simulcast of the NFL Network telecast, along with local stations in New York and the Boston area.
In an otherwise slow holiday week, …

Norly,

I thought you were comparing them to the colts and I was going to punch your uterus.

You know how I like it!

 to the Colts game and my Titans making playoffs

Yeah that’s a redic amount of people watching that game though!

if both teams make it to play each other… I think the colts will be the team to derail the pats… (im a big manning fan, he impresses me 90% of the time, and hes not an arrogant prick)

wow, that colts/titans game was atrocious to watch too. I’d rather watch the jets/chiefs overtime.
