put new tires on truck before sale or not?

I’m not sure what to do with this one.

I’m selling my truck to get an econobox, probably a cobalt.

Anyways, I just had my truck inspected (98 f150), and it needs tires.

The guy inspecting it said that I should buy tires this month.

They are right near the limit.

Everything else on the truck is great, and the fact that it just passed ny inspection would be somewhat of a selling point.

Anyways, I’m putting the truck on ebay with no reserve.

Do you guys think I should put new tires on it before I sell it, or just sell it needing tires?

Tires are about 80 bucks each, and I expect the truck to go for between 6500-7500 bucks.

I’m trying to figure out if installing new tires on the truck would make the bid go up more than 320 bucks, or if the fact that the truck needs tires might scare some bidders off totally.

Thanks,
J

edit, saw it was eBay…

Still no, just don’t disclose anything about the tires. It is partially the buyers responsibility to ask the right questions.

Don’t say “needs nothing”.

Did it get the sticker anyways? You can say “recently passed inspection”.

:word:

that sounds like a good plan. i’m getting rid of my c5 soon myself, and man… i just plan to make the price good enough to compensate for the dead tires. soft z-rated tires FTL - yeah, like i do 170 on my way to work
