i love the gtr seat and i’d definitely get one again.
And if you think that the gtr seat is way too tiny, then you really shouldn’t be looking into a bucket seat. In general, those fit WAY tighter, especially for a daily driver.

I got my bottom mount momo’s to sit lower than stock.
It was originally a Sparco base for a civic, and then heavily modded to work.
It sits directly against the floor where the hump is for the cat.
What was needed to do so:
This is made out of 3/16 cold-rolled. Crazy strong.
And yes the tang to mount to the tranmission tunnel was changed to make it stonger.
There are different size seats my friend. I’ve sat in buckets that fit me fine. The GTR and even the s13 vehicles were aimed at the japanese market, look at the s14 seats, they’re slightly bigger for instance, I fit fine in them. The best two cars I’ve driven have been M5 and viper, and both of their seats fit me like a glove, they feel comfortable, bolster me enough (even though I didn’t drive them at track to know for sure how good they really are). So… japanese bucket seats like bride/etc… uhm… wont fit me probably. What can I frickin do, I can’t be <180lbs because I’m not thin bony ass and im tall…

i dont see how u dont fit in the skyline seats. Im 6’2 200lbs and i love them! Its deseigned to be tight on ur body. If ur complaining about the skyline seat u would have hated the kirkey seat. Ive driven a race car(the cascar style ones) with that kind of seat and its super tight. Actually i beleive it was a kirkey seat not 100% positive. Thats the price u pay for being held in the corner.
I’m 260lbs now, I’m your height, and I have only a small stomach, its not like a kaboom belly, plus I started working out again…
I will investigate more… I have sat in r32 skyline seats and well they just felt too tight to the point it was hurting my sides… so it needed a little more spacing to be more natural and snug… I know for a fact I fitted perfectly within m5 and viper seats… that is ALL i know… that is all I got to work with… and that when I sat in s14 seats I felt snug and comfortable… but I know I’ll eventually want/need something more bolstering than an s14 seat… kirkey’s seats… they come in dif sizes… they have a wider version… I will most likely opt for that.
What rob is saying is exactly what i’m trying to say. If you want a full bucket seat, in general, they will be a lot more uncomfortable. (From your point of view since you said the GTR seat is uncomfortable) There’s a huge difference when we’re talking about an S14 seat and a GTR seat. The GTR seat has a lot more grip and yet retains the comfort. The S14 seat is more comfortable but it doesn’t hold you as good. It’s hard to get the best of everything.
Btw, that’s good that you got your car fixed, sorry I couldn’t help. I was at work. Did someone end up giving you a boost?
Btw, Jammin1911 sat in my GTR seat and he loved it. He’s taller than me and he probably weighs 300lbs. (All muscle)
But yeah… like I’m saying, most bucket seats are made to hold you in. If you want a lot of comfort, just get an S14 seat. It’s much cheaper than a bucket seat anyways.

The R34 GTR seats on the other hand resemble more the viper seat (well not quite) and are a bit bigger at least they appear to me:
PS - I ended up walking to the end of the street and saw a mechanic shop, I borrowed their booster, and then went to my mechanic and fixed the terminal connector.
did u notice that in the S13 the GTR seat is a perfect size. Anything bigger and it would be bulging
