I am looking to place a power sunroof into my 1989 Fastback. Wondering if anyone can help in terms of experience in doing such a swap. Do-able?!
it would be very custom, unless there are other sunroofs that are the exact same size as the moonroof which I highly doubt… so good luck

Have you thought of putting in a FC RX-7 Sunroof?
there is not enough room for the sunroof to slide back thats why it is power only on the coupe.

The RX-7 sunroof goes over the roof not in it. Which would make it a possible option.
I have an aftermarket sunroof in my coupe, I would imagine that the size is the same between the coupe and the fastback.
Mine does not go inside the roof either, it tilts up like a moonroof, then slides back over the roof.
Go to some autoglass places, they will point you in the right direction.
Spilner has a custom made Slide back Power Sun Roof on his Fast Back.
Did he do it from scratch, or using existing pop-up roof opening.

It was an aftermarket sun roof, very comon in the US though a few local shops install them.
Google or 411.ca it.
Just put in a vinyl slide back one, you know, like the beetles have.
