I really like how this looks
i dont understand… i would not have believed that there was a space between the sport and Evoque but i guess there is?
make sense for the line up, the Evoque is a $450/month lease, cheapest way to get look at me I have a new RR, I made it!
The RR Sport is $750 and probably out of reach for many that would not be caught dead driving the cheap model RR, but just can’t swing the $750
The Velar gets you that sweet spot probably $550/month, and you are no longer in an entry level RR
yea probably with 8000 down
Depends on how you option it out really.
I’ve looked and I’m not even sure you can get this with a tow package, so it’s more practical than the Evoque because of size but not quite the utility of the Sport.
I think you’re right. Tow package is RRS, RR, and LR4 only I think.
I did find a picture of it with a bike rack on the back, but I have no idea how it was mounted. And I tried to build it out to see if anything said tow package, but nothing did.
However some sites that the announcement did mention towing so I have not idea where they got it from.
Has Land Rover come a long way, or are they still unreliable pieces of shit like they used to be? I really like the looks of them, and it’s cool you have a diesel option, but they seem a little lacking in driver assistance tech, especially since I can buy a Model X for around the same price. I don’t give a shit about off road prowess, but for $100,000+, it better drive itself.
I’d say they’re quite good. Most of the “LR is terrible” stuff comes from the 90’s and earlier. Most people haven’t updated their 3rd-hand bias / opinions about LR in at least a decade. I kept my last RR for 252,000 miles.

Mine practically drives itself, I just steer it. Other than missing Tesla-like autopilot you can certainly option them to have all the latest tech.
Yeah, my last two cars had adaptive cruise. Does Range Rover offer anything like AutoPilot, or Pilot Assist2 that my XC90 has? I’m not familiar with the brand, aside from the fact that I have 2004 LR D2, and it’s pretty much a pile of shit, but I really like it?
Nothing that steers for you, but then again I thought Volvo makes you keep your hands on the wheel anyway?
I actually don’t mind driving in heavy traffic with my RR. I’ve spent a lot of time in Toronto & Muskoka cottage traffic and adaptive cruise is amazing. I don’t have lane keep assist, driver condition monitoring or the road-sign reading stuff on mine though.
I have all that bullshit, and can’t live without it. Volvo’s Pilot Assist does ask you to “touch” the wheel, but I drive most of my commute with no steering input. Adaptive cruise is a 100% a godsend. I think every car should be equipped with this. I’ve had subarus eyesight (good, but mostly sucked if it was rainy or foggy), ACC in my 16 V60 (much better, but still was hindered by weather). The XC90’s ACC is amazing. Very fluid like, predictable.
I did a quick search and looks like there is a hack to make it so you don’t have to tough the wheel at all
