i searched and didnt find any answers so here it goes, im putting an rb20 into a 90 s13, just wondering about the wiring, i got the guide from racebread.com and im confused, i cant find the 6 pin plug anywhere, just an 8. and i cant find a clear guide on which wires go to which, which side of the plug to cut on, where to run the wires, or anything, i ran the ka harness in the stock location, and the rb harness on the engine, across the firewall, and down behind the fender to the 2 plugs, by the battery. ive also extended the maf and o2 but just not sure which wires go where, thanks for any input
you should seriously consider swapping a SR20 into it…its way easier and a great way to learn.
The rb30 is gonna need most likely new motor mounts and lots of fab. But its a personal choice. Good luck
the rb is in the car allready, has been for a while. im just hung up on the wiring issue cause i cant find a very clear guide. just need to ask someone whos done it before a few questions
and its rb20 not 30, i bought a wrecked r32 so i used the crossmember and everything out of it and it bolts in, had to cut and turn the 02 housing so that it would clear the steering but thats all for fab so far
honestly, pay the extra dough to get someone who knows what they are doing for doing the wiring harness.

It wasn’t a useless opinion man, you are obviously in over your head. Im going to tell you the same thing, bring it to someone who knows what they are doing.
Actually rather than in over his head, the guy looks like he has done a good job so far. The engine is IN the car which is more than most people here have accomplished. He just needs a hand with the wiring and even at that it sounds like he knows what specific help he needs and isn’t just staring blankly into the engine bay. “Over your head” is an overstatement.
Why don’t people on this site offer some actual assistance or STFU? Imagine you are at an actual meet where you see this guy face to face and he asks the same question: I doubt a friendly car guy would give the replies he has received so far.

im not trying to be an ass. i have people come in everyday… “i thought it was easy…” and hand me a half thrown together harness where people dont even know where a knock sensor is or goes… but they know where the injectors go… you know what i mean… you may knooow what your doing, but at the same time it may just be too much. there is tonnes of help on the internet for DIY harnesses but the support for the rb20 isn’t as abundant as an sr. if it was sr yah i could lead you in the right direction as i tackled it myself. as far as RB i recommend the sites datsundave suggested as they have helped me in the past, but only as far as sr20. thanks for the input turbo200. the nico link seems to have all i need, i found it before just wasnt sure where. thanks guys, and i went to trade school to be a tech and built engines and done motor swaps before, just not this exact one, i just needed the wiring info that pertains to which color attatches to which color. if anyone wants to check out my build thread heres the link just to prove im not another stupid noob talking out his ass
