I need a Rear main seal and rocker cover gaskets for my RB20DET.

As soon as possible is nice.

Or if anyone knows where or what I can order it for.

I looked it up in FAST quickly for you and the part # I got was… 12279 42L00 with 12279 85G00 and 12279 58S00 as alternative #s

As far as what car they reference too… It only shows or list engines such as RB20DE or RB20DT or RB20DET etc… nothing else.

Best bet is to phone nissan with the #'s above and see if they can match them up to a north american part number (which is what I did when I needed main seals for my SR).

Nevermind… Vehicle list would be

E24, Y30, Y31, A31, C22, C33, GC22, R31, R32, TC22, U11, U12, 910, C32 and lastly the Z31 with RB20T.

Part #s for the Rocker Gaskets are…

13270-42L00 - Passenger Side
13270-58S01 - Drive Side

Cross Referencing it in FAST only lists RB20’s etc so its unlikely that the gaskets will match up with any USDM Gaskets. Will most likely have to be ordered from Japan unless an online shop such as Phase2 or even anyone on Ebay has them.

Sorry… When I wrote Passenger/Driver Side I was thinking USDM/LHD and not RHD.

Seems like I am having no luck at all with this…:frowning:

Is the rear main on the RB/20/25/26 all the same?

Valve cover gaskets the same?

I’m going to end up ordering a full rebuild kit off the net, which fuckin sucks. Need the car off the hoist

According to FAST the alternative #12279 85G00 its the same as the RB20/RB25/KA24E

While the other alternative # 12279 58S00 lists RB25/RB26/KA24DE

Hopefully you can find out if the KA24E or DE Main Seals will work. I know the KA and SR have the same Front Main Seal but the Rears are not shared between the two as the KA has a much larger Real Seal.
