It’s called RWD and loss of traction. Possibly involving ice. Just go with it or don’t gas as hard when you go over bumps.

ah “earlyus Newbus driftus” Syndrom :E
no no, guys i have been driving for the longest time,
unless, the stiff tockico struts let the drift occour early,
ok, the flip side of this would be , what would happen if the tension rods are bad?
how would the car react?
one more thing,
its not icey in calgary at the moment, and the roads are awesome !
what is your suspension set up? Is it lowered? do you have camber plates?
stiffer spring rate in the back …bald tires …I am lost reading this desciption
Im thinking you might have too stiff of suspension in the back so when you hit a bump its a washboard effect and the back end hops out. If you have a rear strut bar you might wanna remove it or add a front bar to balance the car.
My old man used to drive a 2000 durango…did the same thing around bumpy corners
You could have bushings worn out too, may cause play in the pivot points in your suspension. Check all your bushings.
adjust camber arms if ur car is lowered lots! get more tire to pavment traction
thanks guys, just to answer few of the questions,
the car is lowered with stechs.
no camber plates or anything.
brand new winter tires in the back.
no strut bars.
i am thinking that the bushings might be worn out which they kinda do look worn out.
apart from bumps when i downshift sometimes the back end hops out too!
Love you all for your help!!
Have you got the same suspension setup all the way around? Same shocks/springs?
To me it sounds like you’re just lacking contact patch in the rear. The winter tires aren’t helping either, they don’t stick very well when there’s no snow. You could buy some RUCAs to adjust camber to even out the contact patch or just go easy on the gas until you throw the summer tires back on.

You might try the KCA 349 bushings from Whiteline for the subframe or some urethane lock bushings like the spl aluminum ones. Have you had the car aligned properly recently?
yeah i m pretty convinced its the bushings,
and i m waiting to get the bushings done before i get an
alignment done.
and yes its the same struts and spring all around.
