So I’m planning on heading to Quaker City with a few friends this upcoming Saturday…it’s “regular racing”, not Test N Tune. This will be in my street driven car that I’ll be driving to the track.
I’ve never been to the track for this before. How does this go down? Is it basically the same format as T&T; meaning pull in, head to a staging lane, get teched in? I’m assuming from what I’ve read on here that I’ll get two time trials, then it’ll be bracket racing? What class will I race in (is there a street class or something)?
Any tips/help/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
You’re drag radials will be fine- I honestly don’t know about the cutout, but I’m guessing that it’ll be OK too. I think they’re mainly looking to keep open headered cars out of the street class.
Have you guys found QCR to be “faster” than PRP? Last weekend at PRP, I was hooking worse than I do on the street (probably because a motorcycle blew up in my lane right before I ran)- that plus the wind blowing right at us on the track didn’t combine for very good ETs.
That sucks to hear- I’ve been reading about it online and everyone talks about how nice the facilities are, how well it hooks, how great the track prep is, etc- so I figured it was faster.
i believe that track is one of the highest tracks above sea level in the us at least thats what i have heard. im sure a few other things factor into it but as whitey said its a good bit slower than prp. i still like going there though because you get more runs in than you do at prp most of the time. plus they have that waterbox thats on the hill so you gotta love that :gaysex:
